Microsoft Applications
Ever wondered why software producers have obscene amounts of money? It’s because they have a world-wide MONOPOLY. In this section, we point out that most of the world uses Microsoft – so it’s good to know a bit about the software…so you to can go on to create world domination and have more money than your average country.
Word
Microsoft word is a very popular word processing program. It is used to create letters, essays, brochures, forms and more.
Excel
Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet software. Typically used to organise data and create budgets, keep track of spending and link pages.
PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint is a slideshow presentation platform. The program uses slides to convey information in many ways. You can design the slides to fit to your needs by adding text, images (from your photo library) and formatting.
How to access Microsoft applications
Option 1: Download the applications onto your computer, from Microsoft. This is the easiest and best way to use the applications, but it does cost money. The price will depend on which package/application you purchase.

Option 2: Create a Microsoft Office account online and use the Microsoft Applications via the web. This is free but will require internet to work. See Connect to the internet

The free option
Most computers will have their own, simple program for writing documents, managing numbers and managing email. These are usually more basic than Microsoft Applications but can be easier to access and free of charge.
Google also have a set of tools called that are similar to Microsoft Applications. They are called Google Documents and Google Spreadsheet.
