Keynotes

In 2024, Rural Women Online hosted two Digital Intensives in Greater Shepparton and North East Victoria. Each week featured free workshops on online scams, digital tools for small businesses, and online safety, plus a staffed Digital Help Desk and refreshments.

The programs concluded with a keynote on Challenges and Opportunities of the Digital Era by Prof Julian Thomas and Anna Krien. Catch up on their talks below.

Delivered 15 September 2024 at the Yackandandah Public Hall in North East Victoria. Following this event, an edited version of Anna’s speech was selected as the cover article of the November edition of The Monthly, ‘The people who mistook their lives for an app’.
